On reverse, vermilion framed "year of the cock 1st month 22nd day / Nagasaki postal bureau" (22 January 1873), with matching manuscript dateline. Arrival framed vermilion "year of the cock 1st month 27th day / Osaka postal bureau" (27 January 1873).
Position 26 shows the rare "right dragon worn" variety (右龍損傷), in the state before retouching (JSCA 3v-1-26).
A scarce and attractive variety cover from Nagasaki, combining plating importance with clear postal markings.
